# Update with composer from 4.4.3 -\> 4.4.4

My PHP version is : 7.4

**Updating/Installing Errors**  
I am: Updating  
Upgrading via : Composer

I am trying to find out the proper way of upgrading Mautic via composer. Tried to run “composer update” but that didn’t update Mautic packages. Checked the composer.json and I have “mautic/core-lib: 4.4.3”.

I suppose I have to run all the steps from [here](https://docs.mautic.org/en/setup/switch-to-composer) again?

Is there another way to upgrade?

Also from 4.4.4 to 4.4.5 it doesn’t work this way. I’m new to the composer setup…

Thats the response:  
“Nothing to install, update or remove”

@silavapi … is there a similar problem like with the old fashioned command line console update, which didn’t work initially?

Yea, I get the same thing. when upgrading to 4.4.5. The other thing I noted is although the docs say you can use composer 2, I was never able to do that.
