# Updating from 3 to 3.01 Error

The issue is if your Mautic base url is set (by default) to [https://mautic.yourdomain.com/index.php](https://mautic.yourdomain.com/index.php) and you try and upgrade to 3.01 it does not find the update.php file.

The fix for this is setting your base url to root [https://mautic.yourdomain.com/](https://mautic.yourdomain.com/)

_Steps I have tried to fix the problem_ :

Could be a permissions issue as in your previous post.

Try these suggestions:
