# Updating leads after adding fields

Hi Alan,  
  
  
  
I just saw the following behaviour:

- I had already a lead captured from form1  
- afterwards I added several new fields to the leads  
- I created a new form with the new fields  
- I tested the form with an existing leads mail address  
- the new fields where not updated  
  
  
  
I’m not sure if I made a mistake.

Hi Alan,
