# Upgrade Extraction Process

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: V3.1.2  
My PHP version is: 7.3.27  
My Database type and version is: mysqlnd 5.1.12-dev

**Your problem**  
My problem is: Is there an extraction process for Mautic v3.x (DB, assets, etc.) data that can be imported into a newer version of Mautic v4.x? With a goal of the older data being migrated/converted appropriately into the v4.x version

I think you are better off upgrading the old system and moving the data then.
