# Version 4 Double Opt-in?

Hello,

This Mautic Blog Article is from 2015 and I want to know if this is the same concept I need to follow to set up double opt-in for the latest Mautic version 4.0.1.

Kind of surprised this isn’t baked-in functionality given all the country regulations popping up.

Hi, there are actually no regulations in any country to my knowledge regarding double optin.  
There are regulations regarding consent, but double optin is not required in GDPR / DSG / PERC
