# What's the correct link in a confirmation mail?

**Your software**  
My Mautic version is: 5.0.2  
My PHP version is: 8.0.30  
My Database type and version is: MariaDB - 10.2.44

**Your problem**  
My problem is:  
I created an opt-in campaign as explained here [Creating a Double Opt-In Email Campaign](https://www.mautic.org/blog/integrator/creating-a-double-opt-in-email-campaign)

When the new contact receive the mail for confirmation, the link is not correct.  
I put the placeholder {pagelink=1} which refers to my landing-page but I think it should be something like an hash URL for tracking. What should I put there ?

These errors are showing in the log: no errors in log.  
If I click in the mail, I get the correct landing page thanks-for-registration but the contact is not impacted

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:  
I tried to leave emapyt the HREF field
