Change SMTP Email Configuration Mautic 3.1.1 (Error 500)

I am trying to change SMTP In Configuration section. After a long Please wait, screen goes dead with 500 Error. Though it will show connection: success, but when I press save or apply, it will give error.

I am able to make other changes in configuration section. But that too takes a long time to execute.

I think, there is some setting, in server which limits time for a command. If that command is not executed with in that time, say 30 seconds. It will kill this command and this 500 error will appear. Now I think, as execution of this command is taking too much time, so it returns 500 error.

First I can be wrong on this. Second, I am not an IT person, so do not know how to correct this thing.

I found following error in /mautic/error_log file (these error do not display in setting>>system info>>log)

I have tried other solutions that are associated with Unable to save configuration

  1. Clear cache by var/cache delete
  2. Disabled wordfence
  3. Adding htaccess file at root folder with: SecFilterEngine Off SecFilterScanPOST Off

Please help me in this?

I want to change SMTP server settings. But can’t get past this error

If you are using an amazon product for mail I believe you select it as the mailer in settings, not enter credentials in “other smtp”

Have you tried what @EJL suggested. If you don’t mind, could you try recording a video sneak peek of the error you are getting
