Installing Mautic Overrides Site Index

Wondering about the best practices for installing Mautic. I managed to install it with no problems, however later I found that it overrode my Joomla index.php file and so my site redirected to the Mautic installation.

Should I have installed on a subdomain? Made an incorrect selection during installation.

Thanks,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

Mautic does make use of it’s own index.php file. Thus if you want to install it side by side with another application on the same domain, Mautic will need to be in it’s own subdirectory. Or you can install it on a subdomain.

Thanks!

Alan,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was pretty sure I did that but looking back at my site files/folders it appears I did not.
