Links are always a complete mess if a contact receive two emails that are very similar, even if some parts differ in the email. This is a problem because:
Some emails are re-used several times such as confirmation emails etc.
Sometimes a contact is on several lists and want to receive email twice
Sometimes we need to correct an email and send it out again
It is therefor important to find a way to make sure gmail not caches the email wrongly and mess upp all links in them! Several of our users have complained about this - buttons in our emails are not working and leading to the wrong webpage.
What is the solution? Is this a bug in Mautic that should be fixed?
Hi Mikew, sorry for late reply! The problem seems to appear even if I have not sent too similar emails. A totally new contact just reported broken that all links was mixed up in the email, this is very frustrering since I don’t know how to solve it.
Link an click tracking is also broken, maybe the error starts here:
From mautic link tracking, it has added “/]mellan” in end of link, which is strange! I cannot find errors in MLM code.
Concrete example of what is happning, I can farward email to you if you email me at samuel.kazen@gmail.com if you have time to look a little bit into this
In short:
All links are wrong, when people click one link they come to another of the links.
