1. Why this matters
AI is transforming how marketing teams work. It improves speed, content quality, and decision-making. Open tools like Mautic can lead this shift — or fall behind.
In a few years, there won’t be a serious marketing platform left without AI. The cost of ignoring it will be huge: slower growth, less relevance, and loss of user trust. To keep Mautic competitive, we should start building AI the open way — privacy-first, modular, and community-driven.
2. The vision
Ruth laid out the vision and principles in her keynote, we should follow those.
Give users real value through AI while keeping control of data, models, and costs.
3. The modules
for each of these Frederik (me) has built proof’s of concepts in varying degrees of maturity. Some ready to deploy and some very early prototypes.
AI Connections Module

4. The risk of doing nothing
Without AI, Mautic risks becoming outdated while closed-source competitors grow smarter.
The gap will widen fast — not just in features, but in user experience, onboarding, and data insight. AI is now table stakes for marketing platforms. Ignoring it will cost Mautic relevance and community momentum.
