New Year, new meetup: Scheduling for the D/A/CH Mauticamp 2026!

Hello dear German-speaking community,

As discussed in the Mautic Monday, we want to organize an in-person event again in the new year – the last one was so much fun and provided so much value that everyone is hungry for more!

Ideas so far: Participation should be free of charge, and there should be a main day as well as likely an optional part on the day before (in the afternoon).

The exact format – last time it was a pure barcamp – we might expand this time, for example with specific offerings for the entry phase into Mautic… But above all, this Mauticamp should be designed in the way that is best for you!

Therefore, we are taking it one step at a time… Today, it is mainly about finding a rough date (and about interest in general).

IMPORTANT: If you are having trouble with this forum (e.g., you do not want to create a user account), feel free to

  • simply leave your information in the Mautic Slack (channel #germany),
  • or otherwise send me an email at ekke.guembel@mautic.org.

1 - Completely non-committal: Which months would be most convenient for you?

  • February
  • March
  • April
  • May
  • I can’t say, but I am interested

2 - What geographical limits do you personally have (assuming ICE connectivity)?

  • Northern Germany / Berlin would be too far for me
  • Southern Germany would be too far for me
  • Austria would be too far for me
  • Switzerland would be too far for me
  • Theoretically, all of that is conceivable for me

3 - Once we have a picture here, we will then move on to location, exact date, helpers, and sponsors.
Preparatory to this:

  • I might be able to provide premises (we will clarify the space requirements in the next step)
  • I would possibly like to help organize
  • I might be able to financially support as a sponsor
  • I can’t say anything about this yet

I look forward to your feedback

I can help to organize/coordinate it in Vienna.

Since the mentioned geographic regions are quite broad, I would most likely participate in the Zurich, Basel, Munich, or Innsbruck areas, as I come from Lake Constance. Anything beyond that would be too far for me… but I would think it’s super cool to attend a Mautic event.

Thanks to @aichhoernchen and everyone who has responded here or elsewhere so far!

Two trends are emerging…

a) March is currently the favorite → We will select specific date ideas during the online meetup next Monday and then vote on them here!

b) Southern Germany has been the optimal region so far — except for one thing: So far, we don’t have a venue available there! Does anyone have an idea / could perhaps provide a space? (The target size is 20-40 people…)

Otherwise, Northern Germany / Berlin would be next, as there has only been one opposing vote so far — even in the offline voting

For those who couldn’t make it today - here are the highlights:

  • Date of the Mauticamp: March 3-4 OR March 17-18, 2026 (Poll to follow!)
  • Location: We are still looking for suitable venues in a southern German ICE city - possibly at a client’s or a friendly (non-Mautic) agency’s place. If that doesn’t work out, we’ll take a closer look at Dresden and Hannover.
  • Format:
    • First day, noon to evening: Lecture part (accessible “keynotes” and Q&A “Can Mautic do that?”)
    • Second day, evening to noon: Barcamp part (smaller groups, everyone can bring topics they want to show/discuss/ask about)
  • Communication:
    • Priority 1 = Webpage (mauticamp.org as a one-pager, with date/location, keynotes, Barcamp explanation, and a simple registration form)
    • Then spread this info (including ads!?)
    • Charge a small registration fee (€20?), but probably no online payment

To do:

  • Location & Date
  • Which topics do we need for the keynotes (i.e., what interests people who are considering switching to Mautic or have recently made the switch but still have issues)? Who can take on which keynote?
  • Website (Sven)

so no one misses it: Registration is now open
