Setup email template with Contact's First name in the email body

I am creating a email campaign with my pre-defined html email template. I want to include the contact’s first name in the email body as “Dear xxx” (xxx stands for contact’s first name). Can anybody help me how to setup email template so that each mail contains first name of the respective contacts…
