Upgrade Mautic 5.2.3 (mautic/mautic:5.2.3-apache) in a docker container to Mautic 6

Hello,

I’m currently searching for a safe procedure to upgrade my Mautic installation to the new version.

Previous attempts to load newer images (5.2.4+) always resulted in corrupted databases and backup restores. The Docker configuration exists of 4 separate containers (mautic_web, mautic_worker, mautic_cron and db) running apache.

Since all containers are interconnected, including health checks, it’s not just a question of conserving the volume directories and pulling a newer image. Until now I’ve been unable to find a proper explanation on how to upgrade.

Is there someone accustomed with the Docker configurations? I really could use a helping hand here… With more than 3.300 contacts alone I really want to prevent losing everything…

I’ve installed Mautic outside Docker natively on the server. This post can be closed.
