V4 upgrade still showing old email editor

My Mautic version is: v4
My PHP version is: 7.4.21
My Database type and version is: 10.2.40-MariaDB-1:10.2.40+maria~bionic-log

Your problem
My problem is: Just upgraded to v4 and checked the email editor. It’s still showing/using the old editor

These errors are showing in the log: No errors are shown in logs, page returned 200

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: Not sure what steps to take. I have noticed the GrapesJS plugin is not enabled. Should that even still be a plugin? I understood that it was going to replace the existing which would make it part of the core code.

Legacy editor goes away in Mautic 5 according to Github. Enabling the plugin is still a requirement in Mautic 4. Check out these notes to see the minor code change required to use themes in both builders.

Mautic 4 should have the GrapesJS builder enabled by default, but we did see someone reporting an issue which relates to using the plugins reload command:

This might possibly be related to your issue.

Also it’s very important to:

  1. Clear your Mautic cache
  2. Clear your browser cache
  3. Reload the page

in order to troubleshoot. Have you tried those three steps yet?

No worries,

I did have the plugin enabled to test it out but had disabled it prior to the update coming out.

Maybe because I disabled it, that setting stuck during the update.

I re-enabled it and all is working.
