Hi @smallears613:
- Create a new (template) email
- Specify internal name, subject and content
- Click Save & Close
- In email detail dropdown, click Add A/B Test
- Change subject and content in the edit view
- Click Save & Close again
Now you can switch between the email variants and send test emails - they are delivered with different subject lines.
ok so when i click A/B test that is the B section
Yes, after hitting “Add A/B Test” you are in variant B. Just hit “Save & Close” again, then you are prompted the missing fields for your variant email (you have to - again - select your email type, which is kind of strange).
After you edited variant B you can toggle between the variants at the bottom of the read-only email detail screen.
(A/B tests do not only consist of a section, but the email is basically duplicated and every field can be modified)
Awesome thansk so much!
Is A/B testing of emails limited to template emails? I’m looking for a way to A/B test an email that needs to be sent from a campaign and I don’t find the option to do that. Is it impossible to do A/B test with email campaigns?
