My problem is: I cant figure out how to set up AB testing for campaign drips or is this only available for segment emais? currently the forum suggests this feature doesnt work for campaign drip
A/B variants only work for segment (broadcast) emails. If you add an email with variants to a campaign “Send email” action, the campaign sends the parent email only and ignores the variants, so the forum reports are right.
Workarounds people use:
1. Split in the campaign yourself. Use a condition on a contact field (for example a custom field you fill with A or B on import or via a form hidden field) and send a different email on each branch. Compare the two emails’ stats afterwards.
2. Have the campaign add the contact to a segment, then send a segment email with A/B variants to that segment. You lose the per-contact timing of a drip, but the built-in winner logic works.
