As I am describing this issue here, on Github, especially in the last comment of mine, we should be able to choose if we want special characters to be escaped or not, when sending them via the API.
To be honest, this limitation created a lot of trouble for me and my already designed software architecture. You can just implement a button in Admin Configuration for this and that is it.
