My idea is:

Google Workspace no longer supports the username and password, and the configuration for IMAP needs to be done through API, see the following docs:-

1- Google Workspace Updates: Beginning September 30, 2024: third-party apps that use only a password to access Google Accounts and Google Sync will no longer be supported

2- Transition from less secure apps to OAuth - Google Workspace Admin Help

3- Managing POP and IMAP  |  Gmail  |  Google for Developers

I think these groups of people would benefit from this idea:
