Contract work?

Will you or do you know of anyone else who we can hire to help us get everything setup and working on our site. We want to use Mautic and Amazon SES for sending. We have a large list of 350,000 we want to bring over from a new system. We want to get setup the right way and get a good start with things.

Have you ever set it up on a Windows 2012 server?

Dear Ken,
thanks for your answer and sorry for not responding sooner. I need to set my Mautic Forum alarms correctly, I guess

Indeed, we also run Mautic with Amazon SES for our newsletters. We created new Mautic templates, so they look the way we want them to look. However: to my knowledge, Amazon SES doesn’t provide dedicated IPs. Is this a main requirement for your plans? I still have one issue to solve with Amazon SES (bounce handling). Once I have done it (I hope this week), lets talk. Its probably about thursday or friday. Is this okay for you?

Would love to talk to you about Mautic if you are interested.

  1. We have approval from Amazon SES for both their West Cost and East Coast site for sending 500,000 a day which is more than we currently need.

  2. We have a Windows server but I’m thinking it may be to hard or unreliable to try doing it on Windows. So, we could get a virtual server somewhere, maybe you have a company you like to use that we could then set everything up on.
Yes, I could probably install it myself but I want to make sure everything is done the right way and you seem to have a lot of knowledge of Mautic and how it all works. We would need it setup to send through Amazon SES. We want a dedicated IP and will do a domain name or sub.domain name if that works. Because we have a large list we don’t want to take any chances of some small mistake really messing things up.

  3. We would want to send our own weekly newsletters out. But, sure we are open to ideas and willing to pay for your time for helping when needed.

  4. Let’s get started. We are ready.

Here is how I see it.

  1. Pay you one time fee to help us get everything setup correctly and get us through our first newsletter.
  2. We want someone we can go to who knows how to fix things if we ever run into problems. I see this as pay you for your time as needed.
  3. if you are good at scripting and integrating with APIs I could see us hiring you for future projects as needed on a fee basis.

To clarify #1. We have been using Feedblitz.com for our newsletters for about 7 years now. We haven’t used Amazon SES yet but do have approval from them. After begging for higher volumes they gave it to me.

Hi Ken,
thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for not responding sooner.

That is a really interesting and ambitious project! I would love to understand your situation better… Here are a few questions for you:
• Do you already have Amazon SES in production?
• What do you mean with the setup of your site?
• Would it also mean to develop campaigns and content for you or is this a separate request?
• What is your time frame for this project?

We are currently pretty busy with client projects, but Mautic is a topic we love. Let’s see how we can best help you with your request.
