How to properly remove a plugin

I installed a few custom plugins. I tried removing files from /plugins/ but the plugins are still there. Tried cleaning cache and it’s the same. Plugins are shown at plugins menu in the web app. How to properly remove them?

Hi,
After removing the folder from /plugins/, edit app/config/local.php, removing all mentions to the plugin in there, and clear the cache.

Is there an update on how to do this in Mautic 3, this does not seem to be entirely accurate any more. I am trying to reinstall a plugin called ReCaptcha by Konstantin and removing the folder from the plugins directory doesn’t remove it from the list.
