Mautic 4 - Email search in Campaign Builder fails due to "Case Sensitivity"

My problem is: Email search in Campaign Builder doesn’t function properly due to ‘case sensitivity’

These errors are showing in the log: No errors in the log

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: I just, so far, make sure to try both ways of writing my search query, i.e. uppercase and lowercase.

This is how to duplicate:

  1. In the Campaign Builder
  2. Select the ‘Send Email’ option
  3. Try to search an email in the “Email to send” field.

You will notice that if the ‘case’ of your query doesn’t match exactly the title of the email, you won’t be able to select it. You will see it, but not be able to select it. Only after matching the case will this be possible.

Here I search for ‘TESTING’ and I see an email that matches, but I get the message that no matches for TESTING are found because the email title includes ‘testing’ and not ‘TESTING’, and am therefore unable to select the email.

In this case I’m searching for ‘testing’ and everything works ok because the search query and the title of the email have the same case.

I think this search should not be case sensitive, or am I understanding this wrong?
