Mautic SpamBots are Creating Anonymous Users

My Mautic version is: 2.16.2
My PHP version is: 7.1.27

Your problem
My problem is: My Mautic account is showing hundred of anonymous contacts, these contacts don’t have any information about them except their IP address. Is this a common problem? I have deduced that the bots are probably hitting Mautic directly.

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:
Disabled published forms that weren’t being used
Determined it is not coming from the API

Yep, that’s common.

If you don’t want to track the Mautic instance visits you can also restrict the IP
