Remove 'bounced' emails?

Hi there,

I am looking to delete email entries in our database that bounced. Did some research on it and found this thread:

https://www.mautic.org/community/index.php/2738-how-to-automatically-remove-the-leads-whose-emails-are-failed-t/0

However: I have created a list segment with a filter (bounced - equals YES) but nothing has happened for months. List is still empty. But I still get a large amount of ‘mail delivery failed’ emails every time I send an email to our list.

Anyone know what’s going on?

thanks,

Johannes

Have you looked at the contact lead so it got the tag Email Bounced? If not then you have to check your bounce settings in Mautic.

digging this back up…

So I looked at individual contacts that returned ‘Mail Delivery System’ errors and the stats actually show that the person is reading the emails… Check a few different & random ones… Shouldn’t it show ‘no data’ and ideally the tag ‘bounced’?

You can create a Campaign and set action to remove or delete those contacts from your system

What objective would I set? What ‘trait’ or unique detail do those contacts have? Looking at a few contacts that returned ‘mail delivery system’ - they used to receive emails in the past and then all of a sudden stopped. But there is no ‘bounce’ tag that I can see
