Upload attachment field

Hi: I am new to Mautic and just beginning to configure it for our purposes. One thing I can not seem to figure out is how to attach an upload document field to a form. Is this not possible? We are a non-profit and look to have our volunteers upload information. Based on their participation we will trigger other events in our campaigns. However; getting them to upload certain requested information early on in the volunteer selection process is necessary.

This is not currently possible with Mautic. The feature request for a file upload field is here:

@escopecz are there plans to implement a file upload field anytime soon?

I’m interested in this feature as well and it seems many others, too. However, I am a bit lost since this thread and another one (https://www.mautic.org/community/index.php/339-attachment-field-function-as-separated-add-on) is pretty old (Oct 2015) and the feature seems not to be in Mautic yet almost a year later (v2.1.1). It looked pretty close to release in 2015. Any update where this is stuck or how to integrate it? Did I miss something here?
