Can i relate a "focus" item with an contact?

Sorry for my dump question, i recently detected the “focus” channel and added a script to my web-page. It works and shows up a Mautic object to the user.
Now i wonder if i could somehow relate that, and what a user might enter here to a contact?
Think of “i know you and present a special offer for you personally”.
So if the contact is in a given segment, it should pop up the focus item, otherwise not.
I have no idea how to transport informations between Mautic and the focus item on the page.

Hi @imog

Unfortunately, Focus Items only support static information and don’t offer the dynamic functionality you’re looking for - I have to admit, I’d love to see that feature too. I recommend suggesting it on the forum under “Ideas and Features.”

Best regards,
Ricardo

The script, which is to be included into the webpage does not contain anything (in my case), is that expected? Is it only used as a web-bug to Mautic knows about the call of the page and does all the handling within Mautic itself?

Then Mautic will set a cookie in the users browser to identify him in further calls. The missing link here would be to align the person with a contact. In our case this could be done by it’s username in the application. So if the script is able to pick this and forward it to Mautic… just one of many ideas.
