My idea is: “Company List Settings” in Configuration -> Company Settings
to allow choosing columns (globally) for company list view, as is already possible for contacts.

I think these groups of people would benefit from this idea:
All users who work with companies

Good suggestion. I like this functionality for contacts, and I can definitely see how this would also be valuable for companies, especially for B2B users. It wouldn’t be a high priority for me personally or our clients, but the required investment is likely relatively small.
