Your problem
My problem is: I have downloaded and installed the latest version of your software Mautic v5 on a subdomain on my Hostinger account it has loaded and I can access the dashboard and the cron jobs are working but I can not send out a test email I am currently using a Hostinger email address

These errors are showing in the log: when I try I get this error code Connection could not be established with host “localhost:25”: stream_socket_client(): Unable to connect to localhost:25 (Connection timed out)

Steps I have tried to fix the problem: uninstalled and reinstalled the files checked the Mautic docs step by step, but could not see the issue and tried using my Gmail, but the same issue last asked chat GPT

Hi @erich78 … you should add your SMTP Host and Port as well. I doubt that localhost will work with Hostinger?

I’m sorry this is new to me may I ask a dumb question how many steps are in the install/setup process in the new version 2 or 3

please have a look here: Installation — Mautic Documentation 0.1 documentation

Its asking for your email server in the setup process - but you might still add it now in the config section in your mautic.

there was no email configuration 3rd step when I went through the installation process the other day

For sure? Thats interesting. If it can be confirmed, that would be a bug to be reported to github.
