& in a company name, can't be found in Contact > Company field

Your problem
My problem is: Adding a company to a contact with an ‘&’ in the company name, the company name can not be found, is it the ‘&’ part of the search string?

You can type ‘W’ then the & stops it, it’s in the ‘Contact’, works okay on search in the companies.

Hi, can you check how it’s encoded in your DB?
You have to look into the campianies table comanyname column.
Is ampersand or a different string?

or
something else

Got you, not it’s stored at ‘W&G’ then the rest of the name.
