Mautic email send events pending

Your problem
My problem is: It shows that I have 1871 events (emails) pending but they are not triggering. When I use the trigger command in console, it keeps counting on continuously and does not do anything, see below screenshot:

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:

I tried clearing cache, stopping my cron jobs and running commands manually but nothing is working.

Sorry for tagging randomly, I saw your active in forum :slight_smile:

That log line (“Campaign event log ID X was skipped as it had been executed already”) means those rows in `campaign_lead_event_log` are still flagged as scheduled/pending, but Mautic sees they already ran, so every trigger run picks them up and skips them again. That’s why the counter keeps going and nothing gets sent. It usually happens after a trigger process was killed partway through (timeout, OOM, overlapping cron runs).

What I’d check, in this order (**back up the DB first**):

1. **No overlapping runs.** Stop the crons and make sure no old `mautic:campaigns:trigger` process is still running (`ps aux | grep campaigns:trigger`). Then run it once by hand for just that campaign:

2. **Look at the stuck rows**, e.g.:

If they show `is_scheduled = 1` but already have a `date_triggered` in the past, they’re stale. Setting `is_scheduled = 0` on just those rows stops the endless skip loop. That doesn’t resend the emails, it only clears the pending flag, so check `email_stats` first to see whether those contacts actually got the email.

3. **Email queue.** If Configuration → Email Settings uses queued sending (Messenger), campaign emails only go out when a consumer runs: `php bin/console messenger:consume email`. If no cron or worker runs that, emails sit in the queue while the campaign looks “pending”.

4. Afterwards, add `–max-events=` / `–batch-limit=` to the trigger cron, and stagger the crons so `campaigns:trigger` can’t start again while the previous run is still going.

If the rows don’t look like that, post the output of step 1 with `-vvv` and the result of that SELECT for a couple of IDs.
