Mautic throws html code when selecting a default value ina form field

My problem is: I am experiencing a strange problem while assigning a default value to the form fields. I am using a checkbox field and i am assigning a default value for it. But when i do that, it is throwing html code to the front-end. Is this a known bug in Mautic 5.0.3? could anyone help me with this?
