I’ve been using the gmail plugin when doing one-on-one, personal-referral sales-prospecting emails.
It’s great.
But, as oft happens with email threads, inline images sometimes get broken in the replies, and the image’s alt text is shown, depending on the email client.
The alt tag for the gmail tracking pixel is simply “Mautic open source marketing automation”. I understand that perhaps it’s an opportunity for Mautic to do some free brand-awareness marketing… but tracking in personal emails is something I suspect most of us want to do quietly/discretely, and when the pixel breaks, the alt text becomes an awkward billboard. I want to help Mautic grow its brand awareness, but this ain’t the place, in my opinion.
