Way to collect messages from users?

Your problem
My problem is:
I try to implement a custom contact form on my website and add the given info about the user to Mautic.
This part is working quite well with the API.
The form also includes a “message” that should be send to me and collected in some place.

The simplest way is a mail to my address, but is there an option in Mautic to associate the message with a contact and display / collect them somewhere?
Custom fields might be very chaotic for this.

Hi @sebli99, welcome to the Forum.

You are correct that saving messages in a custom field is not optimal and they will be overwritten with each new message a person sends through the contact form.

From the form setup if you look in the third tab “Actions” you can define “send form results” and have this sent to you.
The other place to see this is obviously in the Form report.
