Amazon SES Set-Up tips - Important Tracking Settings

Just wanted to share some Tips on Amazon SES and how to set it up properly and have your Mautic Tracking Working with your Emails/Campaigns.

  1. Make sure that you have Engagement Tracking Turned off in your Amazon SES Settings. To do this you will go to the configuration Sets Section in the SES Panel and then make sure Engagement Tracking is not selected

Also, of course make sure that Link Tracking is not turned off in Mautic. This is important because if you do not select this option, Amazon SES will override your Links and Mautic will not be able to track them.

Another Very Helpful Tip: If you are making campaigns and testing, and you are clicking emails as they come to you, Mautic will NOT track those links. You need to copy the link in your email, then paste it in an “Incognito” Window - and then Mautic should track the Links properly for points and Segmentation / etc…
