as i understand if i create an segment-campaign (automation) then all contacts in the segment will go trough the automation.
What if i have a segment and i want to add a new automation that shall only triggered for new members comint in the list? Is that possible in an easy way?
I cant use a form automation because the leads come in trough an api-call.

There is not really a function, that will only automate all contacts in the segment from now. It will put in all members, that are already in that segment.
So how about to create another segment, which captures the new contacts, but is also part of the other segment too?
Would need to know more about the scenario, why new contacts run into a new campaign, but existing ones should not.

it is only because i already have a segment with imported leads from another software. And i dont want to send out a welcome campaign to someone who is already on the list for one year. So it would be just easyer to have the old and new leads on one segment. I think i will have to do different segments and a combined (filtered) segment.

Hi, you can do this:
Create a campaign using this segment with a dummy action (create tag / remove tag) or something.
Start the campaign.
All contacts in the campaign at this point are finished with the campaign. Still member, but finished… They won’t get any future additions, because they are done.
Now, add your whole onboarding and start adding contacts. Only the new contacts will get the onboarding emails.
