This might be a stupid question but why are there two from types standalone and campaign other than the obvious.
I’m trying to thing behind the logic and use of it.
Can anyone shed some light on the matter?
Thanks.

Standalone form has the Actions tab where you can define what actions should be executed right after form submission.
Campaign form doesn’t have the Actions tab, but it is possible to use such form as a lead source in a campaign and attach actions there.
There used to be only one type of form in the past versions, but users were confused where they should put their actions and often they created duplicate actions in the form and in a campaign.
