Hi Mautic Team,

I’m setting up Mautic for sending newsletters and facing issues with SMTP configuration. We’ve tried using Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, but I’m getting authentication errors and am concerned about deliverability issues, especially with bulk emails.

Specifically, I’ve been told Microsoft 365 is not ideal for sending large volumes of email due to potential tenant blocks. Could you advise on:

  1. The best SMTP provider for bulk emails in Mautic (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or something else)?
  2. Any special settings or configurations needed (OAuth2, app passwords, etc.)?
  3. Best practices to avoid deliverability issues or account blocks?

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are great solutions for mailboxes but not for bulk mail. Use the solution you like for the mailboxes and choose another for bulk mail. You found a lot of bulk mail solutions on this forum, for example Sendgrid.
