Gmail Desktop on Chrome not allowing asset download

My problem is:

Has anyone noticed any issues with Gmail Desktop on Chrome not being able to download assets?
The download behaviour works everywhere but Desktop Chrome using gmail, it opens a tab then crashes. Tested on a few computers in incognito

If I open the URL directly in a new tab seems to work as expected
Using sendgrid as my delivery / link ghosting redirect

Tested in Edge which runs Chromium and that works fine
All works fine on mobile

if you are referring to downloading the message, I’ve just tested it and it worked for me. Did you sort this out?
