How do I send an email to a list of clients?

This seems like it is a no brainer, but an hour of searching Google and the site comes up empty.



I’ve imported my contacts, I’ve created my email. Step by step please, using Mautic 2.0.1, how do I send that email to my list of contacts?



I found this link which is exactly what I want to do in theory, but the article doesn’t even link to resources to help one achieve the “getting started” advice it gives.

1.Create a Segment with the list you upload.
2. Create a New Segment Email and select the Segment in the email Builder
3. Click Send email.
4. Done

I’ve created a segment which I want to contain ALL of the contacts I’ve imported (nearly 300,000). I’ve tried adding a filter which says EMAIL not empty, but nothing gets loaded into the segment. I’ve tried a filter that says OWNER equals my name (since all the contacts have me as an owner). Still no contacts show up in the segment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ps: I’m still trying to get my first email sent and step one seems to be to create the segment but I can’t get the segment created…
