My Mautic version is: 3.1.2
My PHP version is: 7.3.18
My install of Mautic is going crazy with the way its tracking users. It seems as though multiple people are getting tracked as the same user, resulting in it identifying the same person as submitting the form multiple times and sending them the same email 30+ times in a row.
I have mtc.js on every page of the site.
Why would this be happening?
I’m not sure why this is happening. The I.P. Addresses appear to be different. What does your logs show?
It would not be totally unexpected to me out where we live if I see 2-3 resubmissions of a form from a client’s browser due to poor connectivity. But any more than that I’d also be worried.
A quick workaround while you dig for the reason
You could temporarily remove the opt in Campaign after you send out the first Confirmation for double opt-in.
Or you could tag the emails as Marketing Messages (in your campaign) instead of Transnational messages. This way they would go out only once per contact no matter how your tracking “freaks out”.
