One event missing

While building a campaign i keep getting this msg:

At least one event is required. Use the Launch Campaign Builder button to add one.

What could i be missing ? I’ve tried adding all the events.

jcolome, are you hosting Mautic on your own server? If so have you setup the cron jobs?

on own server - have no idea on how to use cron jobs. I know where to find it under Cpanel but that’s where I am lost.

our friend escopecz has created a service to automate the cronjobs - have a look at https://cronfig.io.

Otherwise you need to figure out how to setup the following cron jobs on your server. I cannot help you with setting up cronjobs through CPanel because I’ve never done it that way before.
https://www.mautic.org/docs/setup/cron_jobs.html

The cron jobs once setup will actually trigger campaign actions and hopefully send emails.

yes that works great - if i could only figure out how to get emails / signups quicker.

thanks for the share vin104

Hola @jcolome the speed of the email depends of the CRON Job frequency in shared hosting some hosting company limit the cron job to run only 5, 10, 15 even 30 minutes.

In my case since im using shared hosting and the minum time i have to run cron job is 15 minutes i use a external cron job service.

here is the script that i use
https://www.mautic.org/community/index.php/830-script-to-run-mautic-symfony-commands-from-a-url?search=Script+to+run+Mautic+(Symfony)+commands+from+a+URL.

Gracias @ninjoan

Yes thanks - just a bit confusing on which events to add for a simple follow up email sequence.

Any chance I could see a simple email sequence for when someone fills out a form ?

Hi,

I think the process for your campaign should be:

  • Drag and drop a Campaign Form lead source. When a popup is displayed, select the form you want to use as source. Note that you have to have previously created this form.
  • Drag a Send Email action. Again, in the popup box, select the email that you want to send when the lead submits the form selected above.
  • Finally, click on the yellow semi circle on the Campaign Form lead source box and drag drop it to the semi circle on top of the Send email action.

It should look something like this

Yes - done that and still no auto response from Mautic.

User is added in dashboard.
