One IP Address creates multiple contact

Hi, I am seeing one person browsing pages on my website, and it’s coming from one IP Address, and each page they look at creates a new anonymous contact. So if someone looked at 4 pages, it would create 4 contacts, time stamped seconds apart, all from the same ip address. I know that in this case, this is one person…

I haven’t found a way to merge these four contacts into one? Shouldn’t Mautic be doing this automatically?

Any suggestions on why this might be happening?

Here’s an example of what it looks like in the contacts page:

Here’s an example of what it looks like in the contacts page:

there is an option in Configurations > Landing Page Settings > Track visitors by IP

Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
Will this work on a regular web page (not a landing page)?

Yes

This is normal behaviours, because these IP maybe belong to different people. For instance, a company is using share internet have the same public IP for all staff.

It could also be, that a user doesn’t accept cookies, correct?
Would “device fingerprint option” help in this case?
