Only Some scheduled emails going

Hello: I have a problem that I have tried to correct on my own but am unable to at this point. Hence, I’m reaching out.

I have a campaign I set up 6 months ago or so.

I have a form collecting contact and they have been adding up in the segment

The segment is included in the campaign

Some email were imported

Most were entered through the form

I created an email that I want to send to this segment via the campaign

I went into form builder and set the Action to Send Email as scheduled. Scheduled for a date in the future…Next Tuesday.

When I look at the Calander I see some of the contacts are added…It shows about 10 and then says +39 more.

HOWEVER: This segment has 1700 contacts in it.

How do I troubleshoot this to be sure all the contacts are included.

NOTE ALSO. I went and scheduled a second email for the future to test what is going on. I scheduled it to go out next Thursday; however it does not show up on the calendar at all.

Thanks, Rich

mmm… question @Rich why this cron job

25	*	*	*	*	php /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxx/messages/app/console mautic:campaigns:trigger --env=prod

Is set to 25 Minutes??? why no 1 minute?

@ninjoan Host doesn’t allow that…I understand that this is longer than desirable but it should still process no? yes?

Joan, I can set it for 1 minute as a test if there is a reason you think that might be part of the issue. Actually, I will go and run a test. I will put it to 1 minute and let it sit there and hour or so and see if anything changes.

I read someplace that if you are logged into Mautic the cron’s are blocked. Is that an old wives tale or is that true?

Thank you, rich

Try to run the cron 1 minute.
About the if cron job is blocked i don’t think so since when i make test in my mautic I play with the Cron Job and I’m logging at the same time. BUT, BUT I’m running the cronjob externally since my hosting don’t allow 1 minutes cron job. @Rich

@ninjoan Well I set the cron to run at one-minute intervals and nothing has changed. HOWEVER: I did notice that new contacts being added are getting the scheduled email??? This is getting weird. The scheduled email shown on the diagram above are going out before the scheduled date for new contacts. I’ll wait to see what happens with this campaign tomorrow but by the looks of it I totally misunderstand scheduled emails or something else is wrong. Here is even weirder news. The scduled email called 30 seconds #1 above left when a new contact subscribed. The other email Send calc email which is also a scheduled email was indeed scheduled.

This was taken from the contact activity feed. As you can see, one left but not the other…hummm

To be sure I wasn’t crazy I went back and reviewed the dates and they all in the future. I deleted the actions and set them up again to see if something was simply corrupted. Nope! the condition looks the same.

If the email count is off after the date they are scheduled to go again I’ll need to figure out how to escalate the problem./ As always, I am open to any ideas.

Rich

@Rich my cron job setting is totally differents from yours

The only Cron Job that runs in the 1-minute range is mautic:campaigns:trigger --env=prod
The other cron run 30, Only once a day etc.

Also I’m using Sendgrind as the SMTP Server and using an external file to run the cron job.
PD: What SMTP are you using maybe you have to check that also

Also, i don’t know the quantity of leads you have maybe that is a point to consider

@ninjoan Hi Joan: I have 1700+ lead in this segment. That is why I am so perplexed. At one time I had 39 of them get picked up and the rest do not. Now the scheduled emails are not picking them up at all. There has to be something going on with the campaign…I am so unsure now. So I have a scheduled newsletter to go out today. I’ll see what happens and then try to decide where to go from there. I am using Amazon but I have not had a problem sending.
