Searched the forum, it seems that many people have made the feature request for double opt-in in the past, I guess it never got implemented?

Hi @drbix thanks for responding! Good to know there is (sort of) a way to do this.
Judging by the comments, it does not seem to be working very well though. I guess I will use Sendy for this.
