Joey’s video explains iy well. If you use the the Amazon SES API thene all is handled by that and you don’t need to set confiigure Mautic further for the unsubs.

I have all my mautics set up with Amamzon SES API as the email configurations and unsubs and bounces to mark a contact as DNC works
very well
