What difference does it make if a template email is published or not?

What difference does it make if a template email is published or not? It seems like I can choose template emails that aren’t published in campaigns anyway. I thought unpublished emails wouldn’t show up there.

Hi,
It will show up yes.
But it won’t be sent out as a part of a campaign.

For example: you have a nurturing campaigns, where you offer 1 product in every email.
However, you are out of product nr.3. So you can pull that from the campaign by disabling that template email.

Oh! I didn’t have a clue about that and can’t remember getting warned about it anywhere. Is it stated in the docs?

I don’t know. I’m not really reading the docs.
But I test out a lot of things :slight_smile:
