504 Gateway Timeout when login into mautic

Your software
My Mautic version is: 3.3.4
My PHP version is: 7.3

Your problem
My problem is: 504 gateway timeout.

These errors are showing in the log: No

Steps I have tried to fix the problem:

  • Change php.ini (Tried to change max_execution_time)

I have a 504 gateway time out every time I try to access mautic and click the login button. My mautic version is 3.3.4.

After trying and refreshing page 3 to 4 times its working well.

Can you help me, please?

This could be a very heavy dashboard issue.
After login into Mautic, can you try and go to the contacts page by changing the url, so for example: https://yourmautic.com/s/contacts.

If you are able to get there it could be the heavy dashboard and then I can provide you a few possible fixes around it.

I have tried to go contacts page by changing the URL like https://yourmautic.com/s/contacts.

Very quickly I am able to access the contacts page but from the contacts page I have tried to go Dashboard by clicking dashboard, It again takes time to load the dashboard, and sometimes 504 Gateway Time-out as well.

Can you help me with this, please?

The problem here is your base dashboard is to heavy to load, so it either needs more memory / CPU, or you need to create a very basic dashboard with just one widget on it. Not ideal but you could then look at our post on setting up Metabase and Surge. your dashboard (Surge Mautic Dashboard into something Amazing!).

For the moment go to your dashboard with import at the end and make a basic one https://yourmautic.com/s/dashboard/import

BTW there has been a bunch of improvements in M4.2+ maybe you wanna upgrade first.

I have changed the dashboard with import and made it a basic one.
For now, It takes less time to load the dashboard and working well.
