Can we trust Mautics contact identification ?

What’s happening here?



I imported a user, and sent two emails. Both bounced because of unknown server, and DNC has been set. So far everything is fine.



Now I see that supposedly this contact has visited my site. How on earth can Mautic know that this is the right contact when the contact has never had a chance to open the email ?



Can we trust Mautics’ contact identification ? This seems absolutely and 100% wrong to me.
