My idea is:
A drop down which shows all available variables. When you click on the one you want, the variable is inserted where the cursor is.
I think these groups of people would benefit from this idea:
Anybody who has a lot of variables and can’t remember each one of them or forgets how to write them.
Why I think they would benefit from this idea:
less mistakes and faster workflow.

I worked with email marketing tools which had this feature and it was a game changer for me.
