Lead set Points in PreSave hook

Hi,

if i try to add Points “$lead->setPoints(10)” for example, or “$lead->adjustPoints” it doesnt work in a pre Save hook if the Lead has 0 Points. If the Lead has more than zero points it works. What do i wrong???
