Notes from Meeting on 4th June, 2020

0️⃣ Introductions - who you are, how you’re using Mautic and

Ekke Guembel (he/him) Well... I'm Ekke, Team lead here. Just back from - believe it or not - vacation! :sunglasses:
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) Hi folks, I’m Ruth based in the UK and Mautic project lead!
Ruben Teijeiro Hi, Ruben from Spain and running my company Youpal
Nico Grienauer I’m Nico From Vienna, Since 2005 in the Drupal CMS Area and since 2009 Board Member from Drupal Austria. I help to spread Open Source Software and develop it further. I am Founder of acolono.com a company with 10 Employees specialized in Drupal, Styleguides, Audits/analytics/metrics.also Mautic “Community Lead NR.2” they told me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :slightly_smiling_face:
Slackbot Hey there, it sounds like you might be asking for support? We ask that you please post requests for support on https://forum.mautic.org - for more information on how the Mautic community uses Slack and our Forums please see this post: https://forum.mautic.org/t/using-the-community-forums-with-slack/12011 - thank you! :mautibot:

1️⃣ .0️⃣ Apologies

Ekke Guembel (he/him) Before we really start, I'd like to say sorry for the little progress here in the last couple of weeks. The things announced two weeks ago ate a LOT of my spare time and so we even skipped the last t-community meeting scheduled for 5/21 :disappointed:BUT we're back to business now! :slightly_smiling_face:
Ruben Teijeiro No problem! We are all busy and it’s totally understandable

1️⃣ .1️⃣ Announced changes / project lead et al.

Ekke Guembel (he/him) If you did not yet listen to the announcements, I suggest you do - it's worth it!
Ekke Guembel (he/him) And thanks to @Ruth Cheesley (she/her) for doing the same thing in multiple languages. How did that go? Any observations worth sharing?
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) It went really well, I felt that the fluency was better when the native speaker presented the slides which were translated, and then afterwards if there were any questions I was able to answer and they were translated. It was a bit more clunky when I was presenting and it being translated, but it did work
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I think for any major announcement we should plan to do this kind of thing, I would be happy to do regular webinars if there is an interest for it. I’ve also got office hours set up fortnightly in different time zones as an opportunity for people to drop in and chat
Ruben Teijeiro It was a great experience and really beneficial for people to practice their English. Let’s continue doing it, definitely!
Ekke Guembel (he/him) :+1:

1️⃣ .2️⃣ MautiCon

Ekke Guembel (he/him) new date = Nov/17 now final?
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I have some super useful resources that the team at Acquia have shared which will be helpful in creating things like sponsorship packages and contracts but also planning the event
Ekke Guembel (he/him) oh, that sounds good indeed
Ekke Guembel (he/him) so... 17th it is?
Nico Grienauer looking forward to the resources :slightly_smiling_face:
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @Ruth Cheesley (she/her) 17th ok?
Ekke Guembel (he/him) or take it to the WG?
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) Sorry had my head in something, let me just take a quick look
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I would recommend posting that in the working group channel with an @ channel and make sure that it’s good with everyone

1️⃣ .3️⃣ From Trello to Jira - now?

Ekke Guembel (he/him) I suggest we cut over to Jira now, i.e. I create a board, transfer stuff over from Trello, and prepare a little video on the usage.Other thoughts?
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I think if we do this we should move all the boards over, and I really hope that there is a process we can migrate rather than manual as some of the trello boards are very busy
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I can check in with our Atlassian representative if that would be helpful
Ekke Guembel (he/him) ok... I can offer to move the community board manually as a pilot, so we can at least try the intended target setup
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @Ruth Cheesley (she/her) just tried the built-in Trello importer - looks good to me: https://mautic.atlassian.net/jira/software/projects/COMM/boards/5/backlog
Ekke Guembel (he/him) I guess we now really need an Atlassian account for every team member... I suppose that does NOT require a mautic.org email address, right?
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @rteijeiro should get Jira access ( did not check the others)
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) any existing members (leadership team) can invite
Ruth Cheesley (she/her) I am not sure how it works with an import
Nico Grienauer yes. currently it is confusing if we should user jira or trello. gr8, that there will be a final move.

2️⃣ Review backlog, prepare sprint (see https://trello.com/b/OOB4fS1p/mautic-community-team) (edited)

Ekke Guembel (he/him) Please give feedback what tasks should go to the next iterationthose that already have your namethose that you would like to dothose that should be done but not (or not only) by yourselfMaybe even tasks that have not been on Trello yet.(edited)
Ekke Guembel (he/him) https://trello.com/c/NaopcY76/14-explore-options-for-mauticon-2020 is an obvious one, but moved into its own working group - thus more like a high-level FYI item here
Ekke Guembel (he/him) https://trello.com/c/loJNs0zf/28-concept-for-local-communities is the other one really important to me, I need to find ways to move this forward. probably by just trying out for one or two languages.
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @Nico Grienauer (he/him) @rteijeiro any plans or priorities on your side?
Nico Grienauer no prio. but still need feedback for https://trello.com/c/G7hWUEjl/31-planet-mautic
Nico Grienauer currently just the planet mautic thingie. also the mautic community thingie would be a thing, but would need a decision what would be the way and how to push it forward… for the collection of community stuff, verything is ready. for just “some” selected streams, it would also be ready, but we would need to clerify it too…
Ekke Guembel (he/him) I have to admit that I am confused, not sure wat sort of feedback is required where, and what the steps are to bring this baby live.Maybe a perfect try-out case for Jira with subtasks :slightly_smiling_face:
Nico Grienauer Added ans Plit it up here: https://mautic.atlassian.net/browse/COMM-33
Nico Grienauer and here a new task for a community dashboard stream https://mautic.atlassian.net/browse/COMM-40
Nico Grienauer let’s go on in jira then.
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @Nico Grienauer (he/him) let's find a different name for COMM-40, to distinguish from https://dashboard.mautic.org/
Ekke Guembel (he/him) @Nico Grienauer (he/him) Maybe let COMM-39 be a subtask to COMM-33 ?
Nico Grienauer renamed it to community stream
Nico Grienauer I don’t think it is a subtask, becuase it is a global info overview of sources, which could be uses for anything… but I am also fine if it is converted to a subtask.
Nico Grienauer I would prefere to communicate issue specific stuff also in jira then, to not spread too much everywhere and ceep the infos/discussion, where it belongs. :slightly_smiling_face:

@Nico Grienauer (he/him) let’s find a different name for COMM-40, to distinguish from https://dashboard.mautic.org/

Ekke Guembel (he/him) Absolutely
Ekke Guembel (he/him) I don’t think it is a subtask, becuase it is a global info overview of sources, which could be uses for anything… but I am also fine if it is converted to a subtask. If it is value by itself, it should be a story. Probably in Confluence, and most importantly: It needs to be kept up-to-date as part of the process.

3️⃣ Any other Business
